The current release on Falk is Part One of label boss Al Calavicci's Escape Route series. Inspired by various film soundtracks ansd the loose percussion of bands like 'Liquid Liquid' and 'Pigbag' 'Escape Route Pt I: The Sun Is Setting On Us' is a slightly shoegazing take on Al Calavicci's love of Crime Drama Soundtracks and Dub. Not only is the original a moody percussion fuelled journey into the miserablist world of Al Calavicci but the release also features a fantastic Ska/Jazz flavoured Rerub from none other than Moodymanc. The whole release is currently being played by the likes of Alex Flitsch, Solomun, And Still Rob G (Om). Woop Woop
QUANTUM BLEEP
We are pleased to announce the launch of Al Calavicci's new radio show on Berlins BLN.fm, for the first time ever young Alwyn will be presenting in German, which should be interesting. The show launches on the 28th March and is monthly after that. Al will be trawling though his vast collection of randomness to find tracks he loves from a wide range of different genres. Those expecting an hour long party mix will be sorely let down..... for more info go here
