The current release on Falk is Part One of label boss Al Calavicci's Escape Route series. Inspired by various film soundtracks ansd the loose percussion of bands like 'Liquid Liquid' and 'Pigbag' 'Escape Route Pt I: The Sun Is Setting On Us' is a slightly shoegazing take on Al Calavicci's love of Crime Drama Soundtracks and Dub. Not only is the original a moody percussion fuelled journey into the miserablist world of Al Calavicci but the release also features a fantastic Ska/Jazz flavoured Rerub from none other than Moodymanc. The whole release is currently being played by the likes of Alex Flitsch, Solomun, And Still Rob G (Om). Woop Woop
THE AMON BREAK
Operations here at Falk Zentrum are on a bit of a go-slow at the moment due to the birth of Falk Boss Al Calavicci's son Amon. Its not over just a little pause... Big Tings
NEXT IN LINE
Keep 'em peeled for the next Falk Release from Anonymous Disco and Post Punk lovers Boolean Orchestra. We hope to be delivering something album sized in the near future, but until then there are some old demos on their myspace here
